Any basketball people lurking around here? Whose your favorite to win it all?
I'm Kansas born and raised and lived here all my life. So I'm going for good ol KU.

Heck yeah I've got March Madness! I'm a retired HS basketball coach, so I really enjoy this time of year. Your Jayhawks have a good shot this year...

Awesome! Good to meet a fellow basketball fan. Jayhawks are my #1 but I also follow Wichita state, mostly cause my wife is a die hard fan of them. It can get a little chippy around my neck of the woods during this time of year because she hates KU with a passion. I rather enjoy it haha

I've been taking Thursday and Friday off for nearly 25 years, just to sit and watch basketball from wall to wall:  best weekend of the year in my book.  Although my perfect bracket millions went whistling out the window in the second game of the day:  had Wilmington upsetting Virgina in the typical 5/12 shakeup.  Should have known not to bet against the local Green Bay boy--Tony Bennett--to lose.  I've got KU winning it all.

That was a pretty decent game I thought. My upset that didn't happen was I had eastern Tennessee upsetting Florida. I didn't think Florida had any gas left in the tank due to declining play recently and the loss of their big man Egbunu.
The force is strong with your choice of champion

My first day bracket picks on Thursday went pretty good, but Northwestern beating Vanderbilt was the spoiler. Ended up 15/16.

My pick to take it all in one bracket pool is North Carolina, and in another, it's Villanova.

Vandy spoiled my day as well. Today it's been Oklahoma State, SMU, and Creighton is toying with my emotions right now

One of the in-studio talking heads said last night that less than 2% of all brackets on CBS were still perfect. Goes to show everyone was playing upsets that really didn't materialize yesterday when chalk should have been played.

With SMU's loss to USC, I'm now at 22/24 with 8 more first round games to go tonight. In the money pool I'm in I'm hanging in at #1, but there's still a lot of basketball to be played.

Go UNC! I'm a huge Tarheels fan but I'm no fool, I don't think they'll make it past the elite 8. Don't have the consistency. I think it's Kentucky's year.

Looking forward to a day of smoking ribs and watching basketball tomorrow!

Been here in Lexington since 1975. Been a cats fan the whole time. Still am! I bleed blue and although I'm aware they've had their struggles this year I think they have the talent and will go all the way! But any things possible in basketball...

People can vilify UK and Cal all they want, but he's coach of the year every year in my book. Before you color me crazy, and I'm not a UK fan, yes, he gets 5 star recruits every year. However, he gets them to check mile-wide egos at the door for the good of the team. More importantly to me, he's got a completely new roster each year and is able to build the required chemistry to win with these one-and-dones.

This is no different than Jerry Tarkanian in reverse. Tark took the juco kids for a year or two, built the chemistry, kicked everyone's ass, and had new crop of kids the next year. Don't villify Cal as was done with Tark: appreciate the genius at work within the rules and guidelines they were both given. Remember, NCAA didn't want to appear in court against Tark, and settled to make him go away. Cal's done nothing wrong either.

I'm a KU guy but I will admit that Cal is a great coach. I agree to taking new people every year and turning them into one of the premier basketball programs is remarkable. Yes a lot of talent is involved but that's just good coaching to do what he does.

Tho I do enjoy when bill self gets the W over him :D

I don't think you're liking today's game...
