Yes it does cook I do have to admit,even without the charcoal grate in. It works kept the heat pretty steady.Grate is sitting on the left shelf of the Gas Grill. LOL

Ahh, now I get it. Looked like the 32qt pot at first glance. Sorry, didn't mean to sound like a jerk.
