my homemade keeper beef jerky recipe
1 bottle of richards red
1 cup of light soy sauce
1/3 cup of worsteshire sauce
1/3 cup dianne mesquite bbq sauce
3 tbsp fresh cracked black pepper
3-4 tbsp brown sugar
1 tbsp onion powder
2 tsp garlic powder
1.5 tsp red pepper flakes
1 tsp cayenne
1/3 tsp coriander
1 tsp liquid smoke
1/4 cup of franks redhot
5-6 lbs eye of round cut 1/8" thick across the grain, trimmed of all fat!
put roast in the freezer for a bit to stiffen it up a bit for easier slicing
mix all marinade ingredients together and whisk thoroughly, slice meat and submerge completely into marinade for 8-12 hours
preheat oven to 150f
removed sliced meat from marinade, pat dry and lay on oven racks so they are not touching and crack some more pepper over the top.
cook for 3-6 hours to your desired doneness
i have made a truck load of jerky and this is the best one i have come up with yet....its sweet, hot and extremely addictive!id put this recipe against anyone jerky....try it,you wont regret it
