A year in the planning process, and here it is.....
I made it out of a metal storage cabinet. I had an 18gauge stainless steel insert made, that is the inner shell. It is insulated with 2" of ceramic fiber insulation. All the l-brackets and rods are stainless steel also. Here is the front view and side view with my thermostat and thermometers......
I have it in my garage, i vented it out the side. It stands about 6' tall. The "cooking" box measures 18" deep x 36" wide x 42" tall. The two deer heads i cut out of brushed aluminum on my CNC at our shop. The smaller lower box is my smoke generator. It has a small 500watt element and the smoke gets pumped into my larger box. This allows me to hot and cold smoke and never have to open my smoker doors until the meat is done. This is a pic inside the small box and the 1" iron pipe routing the smoke........
The inside has a 1500watt element wired to a digital thermostat. Everything except for the grate is stainless steel. I have two meat thermometers installed next to my thermostat. Works like a champ!!! Very hassle free smoking. Thanks for looking!!! (sorry the pics are kinda scatterd....it is my first post with pics)
