Phil,

Have no idea what you're yakkin' about, so let's have a couple brews and talk about smoking meats

Seriously,  we all have our moments and now days accidently take it out on our key boards.   One of the quirks of modern technology.

Phil, I just read through a bunch of your posts and can't recall anything that rubbed me the wrong way.  All that matters is how you feel.  Hopefully the crapation is under control or headed in the right direction.  You can always escape here to be among friends and find a smile.

I agree 100%! ^^^^

No problems here, Phil. I can't remember anything that was negative at all. Besides, today is a new day. Let's keep smokin', Joe.

No issues. Lots of folks around here have the occassional meltdown. Stuff Happens! I look at it like this...When I need to escape, it is to my Smoker or to SMF. Gave up drowning sorrows in Bar's years ago...

...Welcome Back!...JJ

... For my behavior the last few months. Just dealing with crap in my life, I let it get to me and took my misplaced anger out on SMF (among other places) . It was wrong and I apologize if I offended anyone. I'll be a good boy now.
Hey Phil, sorry to hear you've been having troubles Brother...I hope things are improving for you!  It's all good...you are among friends here!  It always cheers me up to get good ideas from my smoking brothers and sisters here at SMF, then go cook something delicious!

Im on a lot of forums.  This one is by far the best.  I dont know why.  Perhaps smoking meat is something everyone can agree on??  It kicks ass!

Mummel, I also love this site and all of the great folks. But I think that you need to read a little closer when it comes to everyone agreeing.

Let's look at: Wood/charcoal vs. electric, horizontal vs. vertical, lump vs. briquette, foil vs. no foil, SLC vs. baby backs, brine vs, no brine, injection vs. no injection. It even goes so far as Maverick vs. IGrill, Royal Country vs. Tel Tru, KBB vs, Royal Oak. Not to even mention cooker brands.

Isn't it wonderful when we have so many things to choose from and so many varying opinions, but we can all get along and cook the greatest meat.

Thanks for allowing me to play off of your words and inject a little humor, Joe

Hey Joe, you are correct about the many debates over cooking methods, fuel types, smoker types, brands, etc, etc...

Its your second statement, about how we all get along, which is the thing I believe separates this forum from most of the others I've browsed.  When there are debates here, they generally remain respectful and friendly.  For the most part, everyone here has always seemed to genuinely enjoy sharing differing ideas, and acknowledging that there are so many good ways to accomplish the same thing.  In other forums I've frequented, disagreements can often degrade quickly into mudslinging and name calling.  I'm not sure why the SMF community has remained above all that, but it's one of the things that always brings me back.

Good point, Red. There was just a battle in another forum last week that ended in the Admin shutting it off basically. We don't need that here. Thanks for the comment
