Mother’s Day at the Bear Cub’s Den

As usual we were invited for Dinner @ Bear Jr’s house for Mother’s Day.
He made a 20 pound Turkey that I gave him, that I wanted to get rid of.
We had gotten it for FREE with Points from Giant Food Store.
He made it in his Big Green Egg, and it was Awesome!!

Bear Jr carved it up & set the one whole sliced Breast aside just for us to take home, along with most of the rest of the leftover Turkey.

I managed to eat one of the Thighs, along with some Green Bean Casserole & some Corn.
Then Bethany (My DIL) made an Awesome Lemon Chiffon Pie (Best one we ever tasted).

I ended up taking enough home that kept Me & Mrs Bear going for another 5 days (I thought it would never end!!).

BTW: While I was sitting in their Living, recuperating from the Big Meal, I snapped a few Pics. I didn’t know if I ever showed you guys Bear Jr’s Head-Mounts before, so I took a few of them, and a couple Pics of his Chocolate Lab “Diesel”.
LOL—I got a Pic of Cheech & Chong too (Smokey’s Twin Brothers).

Enjoy the Pics,

Bear

Looks to me like you and Mrs Bear raised some Good kids! (Sorry here but regarding the lemon shiffon pie... it wouldn't last a day in my home). Thanks a bunch for sharing!

nice pics, that pie really caught my eye

Thank You Jim!!
I've had a lot of Lemon Chiffon Pies, and this was the best one either She or Mrs Bear ever made.
I don't know why, but The ones we buy in the stores taste like Soap.
And Thanks for the Like.

Nice looking meal, thanks for sharing!
Have to remind myself sometimes turkey isn't just for Thanksgiving.

Thank You Very Much, Moon!!
Yup--I know what you mean.
I only do Breasts when we get them Free or Cheap, because Smoked Turkey is my Son's specialty.
