Well guys I used my MES 30 electric with the glass front all digital I used it about 4-5 times. On the last one the light started going crazy I thought it might have been the batteries in the remote becsuse once I changed them they were fine. Well I stayed up with it till about 5 hours in then fell asleep. Woke up to find that the meat probe read 97 degrees! ?!? After 8 hrs. Opened the door and nothing!!! Ughh I was so mad!!! The control panel was still on and everything. Well called masterbuilt and it was luckily still under warranty for 3 more days but the stupid control panel was on back order for 6 months!!! So I called Bass Pro Shops here in Richmond, Va where we bought it from and thankfully they said we can return it but only give us a replacement or a refund of 175 because we bought it on black Friday. No big deal I just want another one. So today we clean it all up get it shoved in the back of the wife's car and head to bsp. Once we are there, no problem just go get one and we can swap it out. Well they didn't have any! Nor will they until next black friday because that is their "black friday" smoker WTF?!?! Well to cut this story shorter I got them to exchange mine for a Bradley electric smoker and I must say that it is built 1000% better then my mes was. I love it! !

What do you guys think? ?
Any problrms with yours (either one)

I have had my MES40 Old Gen for 14 Months and no major problems. There does seem to be many issues with the New Gen MES models...JJ
