Hello all,

The picture below is the exact smoker i have all i know it is the JMSS MES 30" 800 watt unit.
The issue i am having is that multiple times during a smoke the smoker will emit a dull constant beep and completely shut down, at this point i will have to unplug and plug it back in to make it work again. my question is, is it fixable? should i cut my losses? i purchased this privately i dont believe have any warranty info. Any help regarding my situation is greatly appreciated.

what temps are you trying to smoke at, are you using a different thermometer other then the factory one, they are know to be off. these have a high temp shut off for safety reasons, just a guess i'm sure some of the pro's will be around to help.

i generally dont smoke over 250 degrees , and yes i do use an external probe thermometer. i dont think it is because of overheating.

Maybe try cleaning the disc sensor in the back with some alcohol. It probably won't do anything if your digital external thermometer isn't showing 300+. Just a shot in the dark.
