MES 30 129$

I got the Gander Mnt flyer todays paper, but the 30" is 179.99 not 129.99.....is there a "secret" that I am not aware of?    I really need to get one from Gander because I have a $50 gift card I need to use and I have store really close by. Thanks

No secret, just that the $129.99 deal is only valid on Black Friday.  They are on sale currently for $179.99 and on BF they will go down to $129.99 in store and online. 

Though, they did email me the other day since I am a previous customer.  The email read "Early Bird Sale- Black Friday Pricing Without the Crowds."  I tried to be smart and asked them how the smoker is selling for $179 still and not their Black Friday price of $129.99...no reply to my email.  I am pretty sure they used the "Black Friday Pricing" as a general phrase for low prices and to reel people in to their website.

Bought the MES40 from Sam's a little over a year ago. I consider it good value for money.

Never had or even seen the MES30; so I don't know how to advise you about the smaller unit.

Going to try and get into the digital electric smoker game.....I have a $50 gift card at Gander, and if I can find one in stock at the 129.99  I would have only 79.99 +tax in it.....I hope that the 30" would be worth that huh ?   I only smoke for two people, usually 1 rack of ribs and 1 chicken at a time. I have been using a weber kettle with smokenator attachment, but I want to go with something with "less attention required". Are these Masterbuilts pretty much set-it-forget-it ???  The Bradley is too expensive for my little use. But I worry if the small 800 watt element can keep it at 220 to 230 degrees in the Masterbuilt.  Thanks for any advice

I called Gander, they said the MES is only going to be 129.99 on Saturday, not Friday. That didn't make much sense to me. But if you look in the BF flyer, it IS in the section that says Saturday specails. I just dont want to go and them be out of stock. :(
