Masterbuilt 40 heating issue

Help.....my Masterbuilt 40 “cabelas” edition would only heat to 50 F when set to 265F. Anyone else have issues like this? I called customer service and was on hold forever and finally did the option for callback but never received a call back.....just wanting to smoke my ribs but fear it may be time/a sign to step into the pellet world.

Was the light that said, "Heating" lit ??? If so, check the wires going to the heating element... They may have corroded and become disconnected...

how cold was it outside, I know with my mes 30 if I ,leave the controller outside when its to cold out it gives me some trouble, not sure about the mes 40. just a thought
