4 AM and I just came back in from firing up the Freightliner to go haul logs.  Its 37 below.  Add in the slight 10 MPH wind and that makes it minus 48 C (thats minus 54 F).  Just a tad chilly.

Wow, be careful out there I don't see how anybody can get anything done in that kind of cold.

We are the opposite, 65º this morning, in the 70's this afternoon and 80º tomorrow  Crazy weather here.

Yeah there's trucks broke down everywhere you look.

You're sure right about crazy weather. In 5 days from now theyre saying it should be 9* C (close to 50 above)

You must keep truck plugged in for it to start in that kind of winter heck even gasoline engines have trouble in that kind of weather. Come on spring although our winter has not up to this point been to bad.

Nope no plug for big trucks at the motel But I do have a diesel fired Wabesto engine heater that fires up 2 hours before I want to start the truck. Best $1000 I ever spent.

I hear you. I'm gone for the winter. Hauling logs up in the Ft Assiniboine area./quote]

Kepp yours bones warm. I worked in Northern Ontario surveying long ago. The rule was you worked until it reached -60F. Wind chill was not a consideration. I changed professions quickly.

Keep safe, always.
