Today was sunny and we got into the low 30's. The past three days the our highs were in the low 20's with lows in the single digits. We did get some snow those three days, though. Two days with just a dusting and one wit an inch. We went through a bit wood over those three days.

And as Sandyut said, we are quite low thus far on the snow pack, at least the eastern slope. The western slope mountains are doing decent, which is good for those states that rely on the Colorado River for their water down range from our state.

Right now they're still saying only southern VT. may see some action from the N'easter. I hope they're finally right.

Chris

This forecast gets even worse. Now the snowfall is predicted to be 18"-24" of heavy wet and wind gusts 60-70mph.

It's already being called the blizzard of '26.

Its hitting us here again on Monday and Tuesday
Only 15 - 25 cm with up to 80 km winds, that is 5 storms in 7 weeks .

Enough already

The winds are around 20 with gusts to 40 this afternoon and tomorrow. This morning already blowing steady at 12mph with a wind advisory through Monday...

I think they hit this one for us so far, the 1 inch part. Lol Heavy wet snow that's melting fast. I can still see the grass and stone on my driveway. It's just to warm here. They say more coming tonight so we will see.

I used to live on the South Shore area in Massachusetts. I moved to New Hampshire over 10 years ago. The storms that hit the South Shore since then has made me glad that I moved to New Hampshire. They say 2-4 inches where I live now. Where I used to live, 18-24.

Went to take out the trash and decided I should move the truck! We’re in the somewhere between 12-24” give or take, lol

Now you guys are making me feel guilty for complaining about the 4.8 inches of rain we got his week on the west coast.

My main complaint is this much rain out here drives the ants into the house. It is like a game of wack a mole as these little black devils seem to find their way into the house.

Today I woke up to a 1" thick trail of them that went up from the living room floor between walls then from there to the kitchen where they were all in on the silverware left in the sink with tiny food scraps.

Luckily I have no smell ant poison that wins the battle but not the war. This war will continue until the ground dries out enough for them to give up.

I guess not having to shovel the driveway has it's perks.

Might as well get in my posts now as the lights have flickered a few times already and I won't use the phone except for an emergency.

Hard to tell how much is on the ground now with the almost no visibility and wind but it already looks like a lot with heavy snow for the rest of the day.High tide is right around noon so that's going to be an issue especially where I grew up and still hang out at the local bar,the main drag through that part of town is already closed to traffic.

I feel for ya. Even with 60 degree says recently there is STILL snow/ice that hasn't melted here. That last snow/ice a few weeks ago became white concrete. I literally had to use an axe to break the crap up to get my truck out. I see the folks in the ski resort areas wishing they could have some. Trust me, you dont want what we just dealt with. Your feet would not even step in to it, you had to baby step across it or break a freaking hip.
WE'LL JUST TOUGH IT OUT!

You remind me of my dad sitting in south Florida posting his weather while the family in the Appalachians are dealing with zero degrees and 2 feet of snow that doesn't go away until April.

Talk to us in summer:emoji_laughing: Dad leaves Florida and comes back here in summer. Problem is, it gets African hot here too!

Yep, cant have dirty dishes around when the ants are running. That's just asking for it. Those ant baits work fairly well, it's just so hard to let them run through it. The instinct it so kill everything you see, but you have to let them be so they will carry the poison back to the colony. Then one day, they are gone. Except cleaning up the dead stragglers. I HATE bugs.

at least 19" and wind still blowing and snowing. Going to fire up the blower, if too wet I am calling in a plow. Even then I still have to do the walk and long path to the hot tub in the back.

Over 2 feet here already. Gonna give the snowblower a shot in about an hour and see how it goes but I have my doubts. My neighbor has a plow and he'll do as far up the driveway as he can and come Springtime I get him a bottle of Grey Goose or a gift certificate to the waterfront restaurant down the road.

Our last snow (6") was wet heavy, would plug blower up right away, so quit. Overnight temps got down to 5°. Next day the stuff blew like powder. If you have any cool temps coming, its worth the wait instead of blowing the slop a couple times just to move it.
