Looking to start smoking

Hey group. I'm Bob from Homestead, Fl. I've been wanting to get into smoking for some time and recently acquired an old 80 gallon air compressor tank to build one. I used to weld railroad tank cars so I know I can do the welding and fab work. I just lack the knowledge on smokers. I've been reading threads on this site for a few days now, so I figured I'd join and post my build and hopefully get some help along the way. Thanks in advance.

It appears you are already reading stuff from the Builds Forum. I am not an expert on builds and anything I weld is doomed to come a part but if you post a question you are likely to get some good answers.

Glad you joined the group. The search bar at the top of any page is your best friend.
About anything you wanna know about smoking/grilling/curing/brining/cutting or slicing
and the list goes on has probably been posted. Remember to post a QVIEW of your smokes.
We are all smoke junkies here and we have to get our fix. If you have questions
Post it and you will probably get 10 replies with 11 different answers. That is
because their are so many different ways to make great Q...
