Last minute Valenties S&T

This past Tuesday -Valentines Day- about 20min before I was leaving work my GF let me know she was going to be able to escape the Slave Pit and be home for dinner. Which is great, however due to her crazy schedule I had nothing planned. So I needed minimal prep and quick cooking - so fillet it is for turf and lets go scallops for surf! She had also recently mentioned I have NEVER made scallops for her… oops, hard to pay that $$$ for something I used to pick up off the ocean floor for free but I haven’t been diving much lately so I paid up. I rounded the meal out with some roasted fingerling taters and everything was set….until I forgot to make the bearnaise sauce, whoops Oh well, couple bottles of wine and who cares!

Thanks. She aint just in the biz, she’s a classically trained chef snd pastry chef. But, she says I’m the grill/smoke master, we both have our strengths

Lol - Fussy Chicken! I'll have to tell her that. She got on it when she worked as a chef in the French Alps for a year. I enjoy it but she loves it.
