I plan on going to the Beach, Boogie, and BBQ event here in Myrtle Beach that weekend, but will definitely put something on the smoker. My wife is after me to do a Turkey, but my boys want ribs. So it will most likely be one of those, or maybe both!!

Fresh wings were on sale in my area for $1.99 a pound so I grabbed those and froze them for Labor Day. Probably do a pork loin too. Been wanting to do some more fish too....so maybe I'll pick some salmon up.

Hubby and I are hosting our annual end of summer cook out.  We supply the meats and guests bring the sides.  I'll be smoking 2 butts, 6-8 racks and SBTs.  I'll also grill chicken, dogs and burgers.  I bought a new MasterForge vertical last week.  I haven't done a lot of mods on it, but I read where some did nothing but add a grate to the charcoal pan and closed the bottom hole and his temps remained steady at 225-240 for over 10 hours on one load of coal. Hope I get similar results.
