What kind of knot is used to tie ring sausage ends so that they can be hung on rods to be smoked?

My knot skills are lacking...I was Army, not Navy, so rely on a double Granny for most of mine. Here's a recent post from Nepas....appears simple enough even for me.....Willie

Thanks, I was concerned that the natural casing would be to slick for anything like a granny knot to hold but if that's all it takes I

guess that'll have to be good enough.

I like to tie a granny knot and then add some butchers twine as a backup.

I tie all my sausage with butchers twine (or home depo twine) with a simple overhand knot (twice) Dont hang from the string. I hang from the other end
