kicking it up big for new years!

Hey guys,

some q-view of todays big new years feast!

I'm sure that my neighbors think i'm a bit off for starting to have a beer at 7am while i'm starting up the smoker but i'm ok with that!

Starting up first will be the pork sence it has to cook the longest.

Getting the smoker up to temp:



Look at those butts coming up to temp before there time is due!

Just got the wings preped to go on way later tonight!

40lbs of wings!  got them for 1.20 a lb.  Kind of glad i got the cut wings and not whole.



20lbs of wings in franks hot sauce



10lbs of Soy Vay wings and 10lbs of Habanero wings (12 habaneros, 6 garlic cloves, EVO/Veg oil to make it creamy)

Now you are prepared thats for sure. As for the drinking early I have always heard it's five o'clock somewhere. So keep the good things going and enjoy thats what it's all about.

Man you are going to have a great New Years. I wish I could say the same. Our plans were canceled because of the blizzard last night and the one coming again tonight. I could throw something on the smoker at home for the two of us but its not much fun smoking in -3 degrees and 30+ MPH winds. haha Have a great New Years and I will be watching for the finishing of the Qview.

The smoker is a 120gal tank w/ a 4' door and 2 slide out racks.  I built her to do big cookouts and whole pigs.

but a bit of a update:

spraying the butts w/ some apple juice



and who doesn't like some slaw?

Evrything is looking pretty darn good.

Since you started tipping early, better make a mental note to remove the gloves and wash your hands before you take a trip to the sandbox.

OK guys!!!!

so here's the aftermath

I had to wrap everything up tightly on the smoker, put the fire out, and drive 40min to my buddy house to set up and get everything ready for dinner

here's the smoker all set up in its new home for the night!



some pulled pork!



prime rib



whats left of some jerk shrimp



lobster w/ garlic,butter,champain



more shirmp



dont have any pic of the chicken wings but i'm told that the habanero wings were amazing and they were a good hot
