Yup, this country has seen worse. It does mean something. But try to make the most out of it with a good mind set. With that being said. Here's to all the TP whores out there!!

A semi-grin is about all I can do at the moment. After 4 hours shopping I finally managed to find some meat. Some ground beef, chicken fillets, pork loin, rib eyes, t-bones, porterhouses and shoulder steaks. My debit card is smoking. But I feel better now that I know we are stocked. Not stupidly so. But good enough.

We have 3 freezers full of stuff. This will be a perfect opportunity to eat some of it up. Should have enough to last a couple of months! No need to go to the store for quite a while.

AL, our freezers are well stocked too, and I agree good time to get through them. Especially the one that needs to be defrosted, lol!

Yeah, we're not worried about meat with a full sized upright freezer full and my favorite liquor store assures me they shouldn't run out of Budweiser, but if I can't get French Vanilla creamer for the Mrs' coffee look out!

That is a riot, my wife couldn’t go a day without her French vanilla creamer either.

Last time I smiled , I ended up with 2 kids and a big house payment .

Polar opposite here. Last time I smiled I wound up with a beautiful and wonderful wife who makes a great paycheck and a large house that she pays for :emoji_astonished: I earn my keep though. She's not gonna let me get away with doing nothing but cooking and eating.

Keeping things on track, thanks so much negolien negolien for starting something that hopefully will remain positive.

It appears that we are getting through the worst of the curve here. I don't know if it's because all the hoarders have gotten all they need and are hunkered down for the duration or if people are seeing the senseless nature of how a lot of folks are acting. At least I won't run out of beer. I have 4 kegs on the floor and ingredients to make 6 more kegs. I've got the essentials covered!!

Contrary to popular belief, man CAN live by bread alone :emoji_wink:

Nope, they're still out there Robert! We pulled up to Sam's Club five minutes before the doors were going to open this morning. There was a line of people going all the way down and around the side of the building, some had been there for hours. We left and went to Safeway to score a couple of onions and a knob of garlic, all gone along with every potato that might have ever graced the veggie section. We grabbed some tater salad and a case of barley pops, then headed back to Sam's and walked right in. Saw what looked like the folks who were too late to hoard toilet paper and bleach were walking out with carts loaded down with breakfast cereal and pop tarts. I got a couple of packs of chicken thighs, a couple of salmon fillets for more lox later this week, and a six-pack of Evan Williams jugs. So I might not have any dammed onions Robert, but I've got some whisky to last me a week or so! RAY

Damn I wish we could have multiple freezers but here in Arizona just can't happen as it is just too hot to put them in the garage and we do not have basements....

But I have 2 Jack Daniels, and 2 Gentleman Jack 1.75 liter jugs and a jug of tequila, white rum and vodka.....may not be able to eat but at least I can drink to forget that fact. :emoji_astonished:

Gonna get me some more meats tomorrow morning. Was tired after walking circles in the rain all night :<(

I know what you mean.
The local Raleys grocery store has a program where you order online, they put the list all together, then bring it out to your car.
The next available "Appointment" was Thursday morning !
I was wanting to drive to town in my hazmat suit and take some apocalypse videos...

...have to wait until Thursday...

The Winco in Chico has a 30 minute line to get in...
25 in - 25 out

I am pleasantly surprised at the stocking levels since Friday. Friday lines all over and most food gone. Sunday at Costco plenty of red meat, veggies, rice and no lines at all. Chicken/water and TP...not so much but it was available at other places.

Sounds like a few of us are cut from the same cloth and have our priorities in order :emoji_laughing:

That is my potential downfall in dire times.

In addition to the 10 kegs of beer, I have 8 bottles of top shelf single malt scotches and single barrel small batch bourbons. Tracy have over 300 bottles of wine. If you find yourself running low, just send me a PM with your address and you'll be taken care of. Ask real nice and I might throw in a couple or nice steaks to help dilute all that alcohol :emoji_wink:

Robert

You should not have offered as I will probably take you up on it as we only have 20 or so bottles and 4 or 5 boxes of wine which we only drink during the week...

Will PM you with my address :emoji_laughing:
