He was likely a farm boy! Most of them were in the seat of a tractor by a young age. I know my Dad was on one at age 5 back in the day… they had to start it and stop it for him as he couldn’t reach the pedals. But he’d make the rounds on the field.

Then as he got older… the clutches were worked…. He could do a truck stand like no other… still can!
Bob wasn't a farm boy, but he did have two older brothers who taught him well.

Guess there are different ways! I was just used to the redneck one! 😉😂
Reminds me of my summer job freshman year in college. I worked for a landscaping company and got let go after the first month. They promoted me to tractor duty cutting the grass in a big field for a very large employer. What they didn't tell me was that the tractor had two brake pedals - one for each rear wheel. Well long story short I made a big old mess of a hill trying to stop. All you saw were these parentheses marks going down the hill. Until the very bottom then there were two long dirt marks in the grass. Needless to say my tractor driving skills didn't impress either the landscaping company or the company that hired us.
