I haven't had duck in a long time.
My experience, white and dark meat is moot in duck (and goose). It is all dark

Nice job on the duck.
The goose at the gathering was a domestic goose farm raised. Yes the meat was dark and as farmer said very greasy. It drained over a quart of fat while cooking but was a great tasting.

Been wanting to do a duck forever!
Did one in a turducken and loved it.!
But want to smoke a duck just by itself!
And looking at yours it looks fantastic!
