Involuntarily smoke-free for a month

I sold my house but it took longer than I expected to pick out another, so we filled a storage unit and holed up in an extended-stay type place. "No smoking within 150 feet" and that just means cigs.

(However they do have a sort of smokers' area, benches under a canopy, just outside the back door. One windy day someone opened the door, smoke blew in, and tripped the fire alarm. That was LOUD.)

I had to leave some stuff behind in the move, but the offset and the Weber made the move. Now they wait.

We close the deal on the new place at the end of this week, then we scramble to move. Then get some fuel, and fire up!

Glad it you I would hate to have to move I've been in my house since I was 4 now almost 77. heck if I moved I wouldn't know hoe to get home. Good luck with your move.

My Condolences. this is a tough time but I'm sure you will get through it. Maybe you can locate a good BBQ joint and sit outside and enjoy the smell before you go in and eat

Ha! Twenty-four years in the Air Force has moved us from Massachusetts to Maryland to South Korea to Georgia to the Middle East to Georgia to Texas to south Florida to northwest Florida to Virginia. It was a fantastic journey, but moving flat out sucks. I hope the move goes well.

I have moved 3 times in my life and all less than a mile way. Last time was a few blocks.

Among the things I regret leaving behind were a tub full of nice split oak, and an unopened bag of charcoal. I will have to start from scratch for fuel. But yes I will have a yard for smoking.

Absence makes the heart grow fonder. I'm developing a hunger for something smoked.

As for Q joints, things look slim. I can enter the new street address into Google, go to Maps, go to the satellite view, and it shows what businesses are in the area. Up come fried foods, churches and phone stores. I'll have to school the hood on smoke.
