I learned something new today!

I've been drinking coffee for 34 years or so now and have never heard of this process before. According to what I've read, this type of coffee is considered the worlds most expensive, with retail prices reaching $700.00/Kg. And here, I thought I was big-time with my K-cups, lol. It's called Kopi Luwak or civet coffee. Since we're not allowed to post links you'll have to look it up. If you too have not heard of this process I think you will be surprised

Reminds me of the time my wife was offered a sandwich containing tongue, " I'm not eating anything that's been in an animal's mouth " she said, " I'll have a boiled egg instead !"

People eat and drink some weird stuff to be sure. A buddy of mine tasted civet coffee at an upscale event and said it was the best coffee he'd ever had. He also said he'd tried it once and that was enough. I think I'd try it, given the opportunity, but like my friend, I think once would sufficiently satisfy my curiosity.

I'm willing to try it, just need to find a shop that sells it. How about you?

NOT IMPRESSED

You gotta be sh***ting me.  I eat tons of animals a year but I always gut them out first.  They say it is the caviar of coffee.  Great,, I tried caviar once and spit all the fish eggs into the gutter.

A local coffee roaster took me to a similar event a couple years ago where we tried some and it is simply amazing. He ended up buying a pound and gave me a third of it to me for free. He also taught me how to roast coffee beans too. unfortunately he lost his battle to cancer but im grateful for all he has done for me.
