Making some ribs for dinner tonight for my wife and I before we watch the neighborhood fireworks. I used some Famous Dave's rib rub and put then on the pellet smoker at 235.

A great day for ribs. I'll be going with salt and pepper on the ribs.

I have never done just salt and pepper, that is what I usually do on a good steak. Do you sauce them or just a dry rub of salt and pepper?

I do not sauce the ribs. Salt and pepper and onto the smoker.

I believe this is referred to as Texas style rub. It’s my goto for pretty much everything I put on the smoker or the grill. It lets the meat shine through.

I eat my ribs “naked”, meaning no sauce. The wife likes to have some sauce on the plate which she dips the meat into.

Although today I did SPOG based on a number of comments I read on this forum. I’ll post that separately.
