I wonder how they’d taste. I’ve had sauted crickets before. They’ve got a nutty flavor. Not bad, but the legs get caught between the teeth.

Just going on what my beer tasted like with stinkbug juice on my hand every time I took a drink for awhile, smoked stinkbugs would be horrible.

Actually seeing less of them than in years past, so maybe they are on the way out.

I think they all moved west to my house! I’ve forgotten how many I’ve stepped on…..lost interest in counting…..lol

Hardly ever saw stinkbugs in the past in my area. Oddly, I was finding one or two a week in the bedroom of my 4th fl. apt last September. There were screens on the windows, so I have no idea how they were getting in.

We got our first snow here at the house a couple of days ago, just a dusting but it did stick to the ground. I don't mind winter. If you live at 9100 feet you had better not mind winter! Plenty of things to do in the winter, though my skiing days are long behind me.

Yup , us too . well , maybe not that deep . I remember one year a local utility company was offering money to drive them around to repairs . I had a '79 long bed F150 . Lifted with 38 " Monster Mudders .
I was making more pulling people out of the ditch , or just giving them a ride home .
Nothing like Granny low , a lift kit , and big tires . Lol .

One can hope. Seems like lots less of them here in GA this year as well.
Joro spiders may be on the way to you though lol. They are a new one here the last couple of years. Harmless to people but very prolific. All the big webs are a pain. Kinda cool unless you're afraid of spiders. They are big colorful ones. At least they don't stink!

We've seen of those too and they must be feasting on the Love Bugs. Haven't seen near as many this year.

That is bad enough in areas equipped to deal with it. I don't remember what year it was, but a 26 inch snow over night pretty much shut everything down around here for a couple weeks!

The National Guard was ferrying medical personnel from Richmond to Lexington, where the hospitals they worked in were, in humvees for a few weeks

I test myself every year to see how long I can hold out on turning on the heat. I’ve made it to the 10th of November. So far this year, the temp in the house hasn’t dropped below 60F.
