We're supposed to be in the middle of a Nor'easter. They predicted between 6 to 12 in the valley. So far we've had a dusting to 2". I'm sure the southern part of the state and the mountain region are getting hit harder than we are. I've got the pellet stove fired up on low and the living room is currently 72*. Stay safe and warm folks. Temps are in the lower 30s.

Chris
yeah my son said they got 6-7" today in Keene, NH

I’m flying into MSP wednesday w/ my GF to visit my family. Last Christmas was pretty mild, she’s in for a shocker this year 😱

Snowed Here the last couple days, not much accumulation but current temp is 8* and forecasted to 4* as the low for tonight. we shall see but the wood stove is in operation and we are comfy.

I have relatives in the Fargo Moorhead area my brother always calls me on New Year’s Day as he watches the rose parade and marvels at how warm it is looks like will be in the 60’s Christmas day this year

People from the Minnesota, north dakota and the Montana area's must be thick skinned. Hell, its cold up there in august. I would never survive...lol

so they have us in a wind chill watch now. starting Thursday morning through Saturday morning. with the expected below zero temps and winds of 25-40mph with gusts over 50mph, the values will be sitting in the -35 to -50 degree range.
the below zero temps can be handled, but the wind and what it does is the worst to deal with,
could also get 5'' of fluffy snow on Wednesday which will just add to the fun.
still showing us getting back above zero on christmas day at 10*

I cannot fathom those temperatures, how do you keep your sanity? We've just been "downgraded" to snow all this week and what was going to be +1 degree has now changed to -8. Not even in your ball-park.

Here is what we are looking at

Boy howdy Jake, that's downright cold and way too nippy for me, tho it's going to be way too cold everywhere for my old bones. Except right here in beautiful Gilbert! We're sunny all week with a high of 71º on Christmas Day, I'll be double smoking a ham on the Weber, might even spin it! RAY

well their starting to put what warnings we will be having for the next few days out.
Winter Weather Advisory was issued this morning through Thursday at noon. basically for 2-4'' of snow. not much wind with it until later this evening.

Windchill Warning from 6pm tonight to noon on Saturday. for windchills reaching -50*

Blizzard Warning from noon on Thursday to 6pm Friday. not much new snow falling, just ground blizzard conditions from the high winds with the snow already on the ground.

just hoping that the power will stay on as the power lines still have ice on them from the ice storm we had a week ago Tuesday already.

but if we can get by all this junk, they are showing temps around 30* a week from now. so something to look forward to.

Is it bad when they interrupt TV programming and within 30 seconds your phone goes off with a weather warning?
