Yes sir... A bowl of pintos or even black eyed peas over those baked beans any day. Must be a Texas thang...

The kids like baked, so I open a can from time to time. b

I'm not hot on most Baked Beans, usually too sweet for my tastes.
But I've had some homemade that weren't too sweet and had a nice smoky taste with lots of meat in them, they were delicious.
Wish like hell I had the recipe.

As for other beans... Bring'em on, love my legumes.

Whew! I thought I was the only "wierd" one. I just could never get into the baked beans which is a bad thing because She Who Must Be Obeyed loves them. However, I like home made soup and she doesn't. So, she had beans I have soup.

I'm with brownseye, Lima beans are nasty.
Baked beans I can eat all day long, cold, hot, straight outta the can, love 'em.
I like pintos and other beans in chili but sparsely.
I like Pintos too !!

Never rode one, but they sure are Pretty!!

Little Joe rides a real nice one!

Lima beans suck.

No beans in chili for me, I make two pots

of chili, one without, one with, Mrs gear loves 'em.

I often make Dutch's WBB, everybody thinks

they're great, I might eat a spoonful.

Good looking food Cranky.

I'm gonna have to weigh in on this Lima Bean controversy...lol....Being a born and bred southern boy, butter beans and baby limas have always been a favorite. I add the hock, chopped celery, chopped onions, and finely grated carrots S&P to taste.  Serve over sweet cornbread and enjoy your trip to gastric heaven.

Can't give you measurements cause i don't know them ,I just go by taste like my grandmother did

Baked beans(bushes) or if you feel like doing the dry thing

Bacon ends or you can cut up regular bacon

Ketchup

Light kayo syrup

Brown sugar

Mustard

Boil the beans , fry bacon throw in the bean, add other ingredients don not need a lot, maybe someday I will figure out the measurements, too sweet add more mustard
