Hunting And Fishing Thread!?!

I had today off from fishing, so what did I do? Go fishing.... It's not often enough that I get to go crappie fishing and a good friend who guides for them asked if I wanted to go give them a try and I said "Heck Yeah!!"

Caught 34 mostly 1-1¾ lbs...

A couple of smaller ones in the mix and we released around 10. All caught on brush in the 20'-22' depth range using small jigs, no minnows. Good day with a good friend...

Thank you Rich. Weather has been pretty good the last couple of days so it was good to just get out and enjoy the day without the worry of catching fish...

Heck yeah. I'm just waiting for the lakes to freeze up here to go chasing fish, my favorite are crappie and bluegills with some LMB mixed in.

Now that is majestic!! I'm assuming you don't have a season for them? Or is it a permit hunt with very few permits issued?

Ya, you'd have to draw a tag for moose and its not an easy tag to draw. But there is a season and this is the area I apply for... fingers crossed, I might draw it in the next few years.
