My names is Darlene and I am from Hallsville Texas. I really want to learn how to smoke meats. I seem to have trouble with them not being tender or tasty. Please Help. And nice to meet everyone.

Hi Darlene and welcome!  You've found a good place to learn.  If you have specific questions that you cannot find an answer for, just ask and the friendly and knowledgeable members here will be glad to help.

It would help us help you if we know a little more about you and your gear and techniques.  Some valuable info would include:
  • What kind/brand of smoker or grill are you cooking on;
  • What cuts and types of meats do you need help with;
  • And all details you can provide about your cooking techniques (cooking temps, cooking times, meat prep and seasoning, etc.)
If you can provide some of these details, we can definitely lend a hand.

Hello and welcome from East Texas. This is a great site, lots of information and great people that are willing to throw in their two cents worth on about anything.
