I have been lurking for about a week here, and around Wednesday I ordered my smoker, a MES 30 from Walmart.

I have been grilling for years, gas not charcoal, so I am not a hardcore grill person.  Wanted to find a way to cook good food easily.  I love the taste of smoked foods, and my kids love ribs so I thought about getting into smoking.

Thanks to everyone's posts that I read I also ordered an Amazen pellet smoker.

I live just outside of Houston.  Currently have a Weber Silver Genesis grill that is several years old and really like it.  Waiting on my MES 30 to arrive probably next week.  I am looking for easy good food.  If I want serious Q there is plenty to choose from around here.  We have been known to drive over an hour to get good Q.

Looking forward to learning more from others.
