How much do I need

I have now made fresh hot Italian sausage 4 times, the latest was a 5 lb batch. I just got my first set of Italian sausage casings, 33-35, and just want to know how much sausage do I need to make to fill a whole hank. I can have extra, just don't want to have to sort out what to do with any extra?

Probably a bad question because there are many pieces in the hank, I just want to know for one piece. Probably not answerable.

An whole hank will make about 100lbs of sausage. I don't mess with hanks as with as much as I make...10-25 pounds per batch. I spent too much time untangling, it get worse as time goes on. I said heck with trying to save a nickle and concentrated on quaility. Been buying LEM all natural from Amazon, these packs are enough to make 25+ pounds.

The Sausage Maker converts casing length to meat weight. For their 32 - 35mm casing, 1 pound of meat needs 2 feet of casing.
