Thanks for the welcome! I've had an interest in learning to do good smoked bbq for years and years. i even worked at a place a while in my 20's called the "Heavenly Hog". At 54 it seems a lifetime has spun by without actually jumping in head first. I had a "master built" gas smoker years ago and never really had any success. It was way to sensitive to wind and weather and just didn't cook well. I did save the burner and use it for corn , lobsters and steamers. I'm not sure about making my own smoker, using it and a tall box unit I've got, or maybe a mini fridge unit I'm not using. I'm just not sure which way to go, propane, charcoal or wood. I'd like to be able to do the usual stuff.... Chicken,ribs,brisket and pulled pork. Hopefully I can make some decisions and get something put together before to long. Thanks again for the welcome.
