I am from beautiful Marion, MT. We are retired and do a lot of home cooking, a/k/a no restaurants nearby. Years ago I had a round Brinkman gas smoker that rusted out and literally fell apart. We are looking at the new electric fully automatic models that appear to be fool proof. Too bad that they are all made in China with parts availability down the road questionable. I can understand a heating element going bad but to have to junk the whole unit because you cannot get a replacement doesn't seem right. That is taking planned obsolescences to a new high.

This is a great forum and all I have to do is learn the abbreviations.

Thanx for letting me join.
