1st timer to this forum, hope to learn a lot from you guys. I have a pit type smoker/grill,wood or charcoal fired,am looking to get an elect.smoker for better temp.control for sausage making, Any suggestions?

Thanks for the welcome, everybody seems willing to share their knowledge. I'm not completely new to smoking, but sure can use the advice and experience from the experts.I think I'm going to go with the MES 40,but have read some pretty negative reports, burned out elements and connections seem to be the common thread.  What is the model # of their newest version, & does it have all the upgrades? Thanks , pretty new to this computer game also, & navagating to where I want to go gets a little trying sometimes. Can't wait to get started making some smoke!!
