Howdy everyone name is Steve and am new to smoking but have been dehydrating jerky of all kinds for years. I am looking to build my own smoker from ground up and interested in anyones ideas. Thanks!

Welcome.  Like Dutch said, there's lots of good ideas on this site.  Come up with a game plan and toss it out--you'll get a ton of suggestions

Hey thanks for the feedback guys! Looking at building exterior just as if it were a house (framed/siding/shingles/etc). Interior though I don't know where to start as I am new but will research some more.
