We just finished up thankgiving celebration. We were having double celebration welcoming our first grandchild. Our granddaughter Morgan born the 21st 8lb10oz. I cooked up 2 turkeys and a large 22lb berkshire ham. Cured and smoked, the sous vided and roasted to set the glaze. Plus my wifes usually spread of tasty sides and desserts.

Ok folks,
We are at VA. Beach for Thanksgiving. So we're not having anything super fancy. I have a chucky in a crock pot. And we'll be having a couple of sides. So. What is everyone whipping up for dinner?
I spend every Thanksgiving in Sandbridge. Where in VB? Happy Thanksgiving!

Very nice. Hope you enjoyed the rainy weather yesterday. I was straight down the beach just a few miles on Sandfiddler Rd.

Nice! At least it cleared up later in the day. The dolphins were putting on quite the show!

I did a cured turkey breast and I got to say this the best one yet! I not a fan of turkey but this was so juicy and tasty! Curing the only way to go with turkey for me. I did not get any carry over heat though. Smoked at 275 using a tube for extra smoke. Took off at 158 expecting to go to 165 but did not go up any but started dropping right away. I had it covered in foil. Was planning on giving half to friend but while I am sure its fine not taking any chances as he is 80 yo. Sorry no pics.

Hey BrianGSDTexoma BrianGSDTexoma I understand your concerns but according to USDA guidelines if it was at 158 for 41 seconds it's just as safe as 165.
Chicken & Turkey With 12% Fat

140 (60.0)35 minutes
145 (62.8)14 minutes
150 (65.6)5 minutes

154 (67.8)2 minutes
156 (68.9)1 minutes
158 (70.0)41 seconds
160 (71.1)27 seconds
162 (72.2)18 seconds

Next year give the kids a Valentine's card at your grand daughter's 1 year party. Do the count back back. I'm a Valentine child myself.
When my mother said "Happy Birthday", I said "Happy Valentines Day". Yep she blushed.
