Thanks guys! I appreciate it a lot.

I already pulled the trigger on a Vortex and the 8835 Weber circular grate and is arriving today. Yes Steve, the Slow and Sear is next, but I want to experiment with foil and bricks first for the same effect. Most importantly- looking forward to dialing in the technique with the goodies. I will be studying up on others successful posts with those items. Tips are welcome!
I might get some seat time on the tractor this weekend to move some more dirt! Its still barely dried out enough for me here in Oregon yet.

Very nice, that is a great color for your grill. I'd never be that bold and it would just be black. Damn that looks nice and the food is pretty sweet as well. Enjoy your gift.

Man, that back area of yours is going to be something fine when it's all done! You're going to post pics, right?
My part of PA has a threat of rain, overcast skies, pretty much everyday. I've started to ignore the weather forecasts. Anymore, they can't get what's going to happen in the same day correct...lol.

Thanks George. But you have to live on the edge a little!

I hope it turns out as nice as it deserves. Originally I wanted to put in a retaining wall, but I am reconsidering because I want to keep more natural than flat cold grey brick. Progress is painfully slow, but I don't want any contractor help.

Great news! Consider joining the Weber Kettle Club.

I'm having fun with a 1990 22-inch that I rescued when some neighbors moved out in a hurry.

I'll check out the club! Nice score on that oldie but goodie! This is the 3rd kettle I've owned, but this is the first Weber brand, so I'm sure it will last longer.

The Webers can last many years. One thing: don't let wet ash sit in it because that speeds rust. Then it might last only 20 years instead of 40 years.
