I'm from Hancock, a little town about 30 minutes south of Stevens Point.

That's not so far away. Been in the smoke game for a while?

Wife bought me my first smoker for Christmas 2012. Now using my second and third ones regularly. Keep upping my game learning new stuff like sausage and cured. Want to try bacon soon.

You are from Oconomowoc?? Wow, I'm probably the only person in the forum, other than you, who can spell that without first looking it up, and who knows the old joke about the town being named after a native American with sore feet.

I have a cottage on Golden Lake which, as you doubtless know, is halfway between Sullivan and Dousman. I haven't been able to get back there for almost a decade. Miss it.

Yes it's definitely a nice area, and we fish golden quite a bit year round.
