Hello,

I appreciate being able to join this forum.

I just got a new Master Forge electric smoker for Christmas from my wonderful wife. We just moved from the Country back to Dallas, and I live in a condo complex that only allows electric grills/smokers.

I am new to this, but I am sure I will pick it up pretty quick.

I love to hunt, and my all time favorite year round hunting is hogs. I killed a hog back in 09, and I gave a ham to a friend that smoked it in his electric smoker. It was excellent. I am hoping to be able to get good results like that with my smoker.

I just seasoned it last night and the smell of the mesquite smoke was awesome. I even opened my patio door for a while to let the scent in my condo.

I don't have any wild meat right now, so I am planning on getting a brisket to smoke this weekend.

Thanks Guys!

Gary,

I lived just south of you in Anderson/Freestone counties from 1999-2012.

It is pretty country down there, and I hope I can get back soon.
