FIL got us a nice smoker with offset firebox for Christmas.  Did a bunch of ribs on it and came out great.  Figured there has to be lots of good info on here.

Dcav, glad to have you here at SMF! I have to agree with Al and Les, sign up for the FREE E-Course, I had been smoking for about 6 yrs. when I got it and really learned alot from it!  Also use the WIKI section to find lots of information or use the Search Bar at the top of the page, tons of information and recipes here and plenty of reading!  Dcav, please remember this, the only dumb question that you can ask here is the one that you do not ask!  Happy Smoking and again, glad to have you on board.

First off welcome Dcav to SMF. You'll like it here cause there are alot of really good folks that would just love to help you with anything to do with smoking. Now we like having new folks here to give a new prospective on some of the ways we do things around here. then you will have a method to your newly found madness and believe me it will be a madness. Then when you start smoking things you will have to learn how to post the pictures / Qview

Now the next thing you have to do is run out and get something to smoke.
