Newbie with a MasterBuilt Pro propane/charcoal combo.

I've used it a few times and the family loved it. I'm definitely hooking on BBQ although i do tend to find it nerve racking when doing brisket.

I've added a weber iGrill mini and find that to be very useful.

Up next baby back ribs :)

Respectfully,

Jess

Nice, small world!! I work in Maryland and commute home on weekends, ahh the life!!

Second doing these ribs, turned out well, (I think) even made my own spritzer sauce

Haven’t had good Carolina bbq sauce since I retired from CG!

We can fix that. A couple of us are looking at hitting the PA gathering. About the only thing my wife and I sauce is pulled pork and even that is pretty lightly sauced with a mustard based sauce. Otherwise you can add me to the folks who think that sauce and glazes are used to cover up mistakes.....

I can either bring pulled pork to the gathering or make some at the gathering. I suspect that Joe (boykjo) will either bring some from Raleigh or make some at the gathering.

Where were you stationed? Elizabeth City?

Haha yes it seems that folks use sauce to hide bad bbq like bad bands use volume to coverup lack of talent!!!!

No, PTOWN and Norfolk.....went to E-City often. Then i was the 5th District Safety and Environmental Hlth guy so I traveled up and down the ECoast for 3 yrs. Swansboro and New Bern are 2 of my favorite places!
