Hello, I purchased my first smoker, Traeger Pro 575, about six months ago and am enjoying it.

Here to snoop around and learn what I can.

I smoke bacon about every weekend. I've done a couple of tri-tips and ribs that have come out great, and a brisket that was good but a little dry.

I have one question: does anyone know where I can find lumberjack pellets near San Jose, CA? I currently use Traeger pellets and am looking to try something else.

Welcome from Kentucky!

I get my lumberjack pellets at Rural King but I don't think they are in your area.

Hello from NW Minnesota. Many helpful members on this site and a treasure chest of genuine recipes. Looking forward to the day I smoke my first bacon.

Welcome, try Dick's, if they have them show them the Rual King advertised price they will price match them. I loaded up on 30 bags last yr that way, they are half the price Dicks normally sells them for.

Welcome from Virginia, and good luck finding lumberjack pellets. I now use Cabelas brand and really like them.
