I'm new to sausage making and smoking. I just wanted to say hi and post a question on where to find info on smokehouse's.I joined a local Moose club this summer after talking to some friends that belong.Because they have just about anything a guy needs to make and smoke sausage and meats. Its all commercial stuff its awesome!!!! That being said i would still like to build my own electric smokehouse. The Moose has a Pro Smoker Roaster that i plan on using as a guide. the info i am looking for is places to buy parts such as heating elements, controllers, timers, blower motors and the like. Any help would be appreciated.

. I just stared stuffing about two months ago as well. I usually run 5 to 15 lb batches and i smoke in a fridge unit I built about 2 months ago as well. My friends are asking me to stuff and smoke for them now. It is very rewarding. As for parts I think there will be alot of folks to chim in here and help you out. I picked mine up elemant at Academy a 110 replacement element for a weber unit. And the PID to control the unit from Aberans. Not sure on the spelling there for Aberans. Anyway welcome aboard "UP IN SMOKE" from Texas

First off welcome to SMF.  You'll really like this place for there are a bunch of really good folks here that would just love to help you with just about anything to do with smoking meat. Then if you have any questions you just post them here or yu can try in chat for a faster answer. If you are really new to all of this I would recommend that you look up and take the e-course. It is free and it will also give you the basics on smoking. So with all that said now go and get something to smoke.

Thanks for the reply. for now i am going to do my grinding and stuffing with there equipment. The smoking takes so long its hard to be there for that long. Therefore a smokehouse is first on my to do list?
