Hi everyone, new member from the Northeastern IL - Vernon Hills/Libertyville area.
Found this forum recently as I have been thinking about doing my own bacon and the resources here seemed to stand out from the rest on the interwebs.

I have been smoking meat for about 6 years now, started on a WSM and now cook primarily on my Workhorse 1969 with Hickory and Oak (hard to find good apple wood cheap enough around here).

I love doing brisket and pork butt, as well as baby back ribs. Also love slow cooking wild game from hunting trips.

Happy new year (soon) to all here.

Feel free to reach out if anyone is in the area and wants to get together to do some bbq.
