Taking my new Louisiana Grill pellet smoker for a spin today (boneless shoulder), so it seems like a good time to join this forum.

Wish me luck!

Welcome from NW Georgia.
You have come to a happy place.
Looks like the shoulder is coming along nicely.

Everything was going swimmingly until I let the hopper run out of pellets for...some length of time. Oops. Now I’m back on track. And now hunting for the LG hopper add-on.

Welcome to the site, glad you decided to join. Well the pressures on - how did it turn out?

In a word: AMAZING. I used an off the rack rub rather than make one of my own, but the bark was perfect. Meat has a mild smoke flavor, very pork-forward. I’d go for a little more smoke myself, but my wife will probably love it.

Even with my various missteps (running out of fuel for who knows how long, pulling it at 185 rather than the 205 I was shooting for because of the time lost), it’s still easily the best pulled pork that ever came out of my kitchen.
