Found the site and love it. For an old Boy Scout, retired Army officer, and an engineer, outdoor cooking and smoking meats seems like a natural thing to do. A quick look at my waistline will prove that I like food. Cooking supports that habit.
At the moment, I'm using a basic Brinkmann Gourmet charcoal smoker, and sometimes a crude split-drum grill/smoker. Of course, i have a some dutch ovens, propane grills, and a kitchen to back them up. And don't forget the ice cream machine.
My adventures in smoking so far include briskets, beef and pork ribs, turkeys, and the occasional batch of chipotles.
I look forward to searching the forum, reading the articles, and otherwise picking your brains for information and ideas.
