Hello all,

I am a avid BBQ and Smoker guy, found this place when doing some searching for some new rubs and marinades. Seemed like a very nice place so I decided to join up.

I currently own, a GMG Daniel Boone, Brinkman Virticle Smoker, Webber 22.5 Kettle, Old Rusted Out Gasser that rarely see's any use at all.

Good afternoon and welcome to the forum, from another sunny, windy and cool day in East Texas. Lots of great people with tons of information on just about  everything

Gary

There are guys with kettles made in the 70(s) still cookin with them. If you are serious about getting rid of it ck with them on the Weber Kettle Club so it will go to a good home.

If the bowl and lid are still good, everything else is replaceable. Ereplementparts is not a bad source for parts.

Thanks for for the welcome.

Bama BBQ the only reason I am getting rid of or replacing the Kettle is its done. The bottom is rusting out and now the lid is starting to do the same. If it wasnt for that, I wouldnt even consider something else. I will more than likely just get another one as this one has served me well for over 20 years and it lived most of its life outside/uncovered.

Glad you joined the group. The search bar at the top of any page is your best friend.
About anything you wanna know about smoking/grilling/curing/brining/cutting or slicing
and the list goes on has probably been posted. Remember to post a QVIEW of your smokes.
We are all smoke junkies here and we have to get our fix. If you have questions
Post it and you will probably get 10 replies with 11 different answers. That is
because their are so many different ways to make great Q...

Take a better look at the BGE it will do from 200° and on up very well. It is close to a

set it and forget it thing. It sips fuel which will save you a lot of money over time. You

can use it like a brick oven for baking.

I sure do like mine. It is not my only smoker but I wouldn't trade it.
Happy smoken.
David
