Had to throw this at ya...

I loaded up the truck and headed to my fish camp up in Kentucky last week. My daughter decided to run up for a couple of days to help me do some work on the place. Decided to do a little fishin in the evenin. She has only fished with a worm or minnows and was watchin Red throw a popper. Got to complainin about never havin tried a popper before so I gave her my rod and told her to have at it. This is what her first cast brought in. Didn't weight it. Figured pushin 4 pounds. It was 19 inches long. Talkin about excited. I couldn't have gotten a better Fathers Day gift. Watchin this kid pull this lunker in was one of the best things that has happened to me. Wanted to share it with ya. O...... did lots of smokin at camp. No time for pics but they were the ol stand bys.... ATBz.... Moinkers.... Spatchcock chicken with pepper bacon and stuffed with sausages.... (Thanks Cowgirl).

That is the kind of thing that makes having kids so great. Sharing all their firsts, and making special memories....sounds like you had a great weekend, Pig.

Red won't let me keep any of the largemouth. She throws em back in so she can try and catch em again. Daughter threw hers back in too.

As a matter of fact.... Red did some serious fishin herself this trip. Two of em over 18 inches.
