We have the absolute best Muffuletta sandwiches at our local deli.
I try eating here once a week, sometimes more.

I've had Muffuletta's in Nola and NY our little local deli wins hands down, it's gotta be the olive salad they use.
And my personal preference is on a sourdough hard roll.

I eat this and nothing else the rest of the day. These sandwiches are truly dream worthy. And ya gotta have a Coke and some Voodoo chips, it's a thing for me.

I snuck outta bed this morning knowing I had a date with Mary, she owns Parma Deli. My wife calls her my mistress, because I'm always sneaking out to grab a sandwich. :emoji_scream: :emoji_laughing: :emoji_laughing:

That’s a Sam-damnwhich! Looks fantastic. Just curious with all the meats on there, what did that set you back? Must be kinda pricey?

$20 even for everything, and I always have enough for a midnight snack leftover.
The sandwiches are HUGE!!!
I used to be able to finish one, not anymore, I barely made it into the second half.

Looks great. That would definitely beat Central Grocery these days. Had one a couple months ago and it was terrible. JMHO.
That is sad, I hate when places go to sh!t!!!

I always thought Mary put extra meat on my sandwiches, because I'm there all the time.
Nope, I watched her son Sammy, make up three in a row, and they were all huge.
This is the last true Italian deli in our area, I won't know what to do when they are gone.
Hopefully Sammy will keep it going long after I am gone. (I have a feeling that he will).

Here is a link to @bill'nCrobyTX Mother's Olive Salad Recipe, may she rest in peace!!!
Thanks for posting this Bill.
Dan.

DANG!!!!! I love me a good sammy! Look at that salami and mortadella. And with the muffaletta? I'm in for the win!

We've grabbed sandwiches to go from Parma Deli a few times. Great place. Bread is always fresh. Every sandwich they make is well-filled. We'll try their Muffaletta next time.

The last time we visited NO we had a Muffaletta at Central Grocery and the olive salad was really salty. Although I must say, a lot of things taste saltier to me these days.

I used to get cravings for a sandwich. Cuban was my weakness.
Hopefully Parma Deli will live on
Not found any favorite in Florida, but my favorite back in Grand Forks ND closed without warning.

I've never had one but sure does look tempting!

On a side note, there are only two things I will get out of bed for at 4am. One, my dog either barking at something outside or him needing to go out. Two, is me needing to go to the bathroom. I don't even get up that early when going hunting or fishing!

Nice! Kinda surprised you can get those chips there, last time I had them was in NOLA 🤔
Mary, the owner is really good at sourcing products from around the country.
Most of her deli meats come from the people that make them in NY and many things that she sells come straight from Italy. It's my happy place!!!

With the old school bottle of coke. Now that's a lunch!
That's Mexican Coke, they are still made with real sugar, and taste like Coke from your youth. I don't drink much soda these days, when I do it's an ice cold Mexican Coke.

Now that's a Sammy worth getting out of bed for ! And I'm with you on the Coke Dan. Only place to find them here are the Mex joints but they remind you of younger days!
