Hey, everybody! Not exactly sure where to put this, so if needs to be moved, sorry!

So I'm finally back in a position to where it's time to start searching for a new grill after Harvey took ours out. Right now I'm torn between the Char Broil Commercial Tru-Infrared and the Weber Spirit E-310. I'm curious as to y'all's thoughts on these two, or, if there's anything else you think I should take a look at let me know. I need a 3 or 4 burner. I'd like to keep it below the $400-$500 mark. Thanks in advance!

This Charbroil one still leaves meat in the budget. I didn't see any 4 burner Infrared in my shorty search.
But if you want to put it all out there, and then some, it's hard to beat a Weber. Gonna cost you $599 bones though. And you have to pick a color.

Me? I'm happy with my Char Broil Designer Series 4-burner cast iron grate the Son and DIL cast off for a custom built in. I converted it to Natural Gas, plugged it into my gas line and never looked the gift horse in the mouth.
I can say I was wondering about one of those new Infrared's though. But I don't see my present fart burner giving up anytime soon. I just cleaned it up down below this weekend and all looks well for this year.

Seems to work OK still...

PS: I saw Bear's grill and decided to flip my grates over and put the flatter side up.
I like it better-more that way.
PSS: I use the side burner to do boiled potatoes. Or cobblets of corn. Keeps the heat outside...

I have a char broil try infrared that's about 5 years old. I love it, it has very little if any hot spots. it has held up well as its 5 years old. My infrared plate above the burner is just starting to get little holes in it but again its over 5 years old. When I purchased it I actually wanted the Weber spirit but couldn't afford the size I wanted and ended up getting the char broil and haven't been disappointed with it at all. The only thing that has gone bad or work on it is my igniter which I could replace for 30 bucks but I just choose to use a lighter threw the lighter port. It's hard to beat a Weber tho.

I have had a few Charbroil grills and I cant get them to hold up. Have quite a few friends that have had the Weber gassers for years and they seem to hold up so much better

I'm strictly charcoal so I use my kettle for grilling, but I would think you can't go wrong with a Weber. It's very rare someone gives it a bad review.

I am very happy with my Weber E-210. I also looked at CharBroil at the time and the Weber just seemed a little better built.

Go with the weber if you can. I have gone through several charbroiled myself and finally didn’t want to keep buying grills.
One huge difference is the quality of he build. Charbroiled were pretty hard to build. Had to really “make” the pieces fit to one another. Weber fit together like a glove.
Go with quality.

Weber was where I was leaning, and it seems like I was right! Now to choose between the original Spirit line or go with the Spirit II, we'll see what I can convince the wife of lol
