I've owned a Pit Boss 700FB for almost 5 years. Trouble free and still looking good accept for a rusty band on the outside of the bottom barrel were the burner pot is located. I acquired another brand new 700FB that was slightly damaged. Decided to change it up somewhat. I installed a front folding shelf similar to the one I did 5 years ago. This time I added a griddle attachment and combo shelf/cover powered by a monster burner. Substantially overkill, but I kind of like it. The griddle drains into a curved tube (scrap conduit) that is located over the standard grease bucket. The burner heats the griddle evenly and effectively at very partial throttle. Full throttle and conversation is difficult and it's a significant contributor to local global warming.

I guess it does heat it up . Lol . Very nice work and great idea .

Another mod which was planned for early April. I added a pellet hopper extender and a forward set of dollies. Very reminiscent of a steam locomotive. I think in locomotive terminology, it would be classed as a 2-2-4:)
